How to customize the Search icon in SharePoint 2010?

If you have a look at the master page, you will find out that the “search” icon is generated by the following SharePoint control:

Windows Live Space is migrating to WordPress

This morning I received a newsletter from Microsoft informing that Windows Live Space customers will have their accounts closed on March 2011. I don’t personally know anyone that uses it, and I don’t have a clue how powerful this tool is… judging by other Microsoft online products, it must be terrible. Sorry about that, but I suddenly remembered trying to find an email on Hotmail.
